Roger Corman's New World Pictures 1970-1983: Vol. 3 Hardcover Book:

"For anyone interested in the true history of New World Pictures, this is a fascinating book. I know it's true because I was there and part of it, and I know most of the people interviewed. Roger and New World were a unique outfit that only comes once in a lifetime!"

– Miller Drake (visual effects editor, Green Lantern, True Lies)

In 1970, Roger Corman, the director of A Bucket of Blood (1959) and The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), launched his own film production-distribution company, New World Pictures. Over the next thirteen years, he would supervise the creation of more than one-hundred films, including revered cult classics like Caged Heat (1974), Hollywood Boulevard (1976) and The Slumber Party Massacre (1979). Packed with insiders' insights and entertaining anecdotes, Roger Corman's New World Pictures (1970-1983): An Oral History, Volume 3 features new interviews with individuals who worked on New World movies, including John Landis, Jim Wynorski, Gale Anne Hurd and P. J. Soles, as well a pair of critical essays about one of New World's best known releases, Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979).

Stephen B. Armstrong is the author of several books, including Paul Bartel: The Life and Films and I Want You Around: The Ramones and The Making of Rock 'n' Roll High School. He teaches in the Creative Writing emphasis at Utah Tech University.
