In January 1961, as the world waited for man to take his first steps into space, a futuristic new series blasted onto British TV screens.

The series was "Supercar" - a high octane blend of electronic puppetry, model effects and movie-making ingenuity. The brainchild of producer Gerry Anderson and designer Reg Hill, the rocket powered star of the show was Supercar itself, an experimental test vehicle that in the words of the show's title song was The Marvel of the Age! Blasting daring test pilot Mike Mecury and the Supercar team into a world of scientific adventure this innovative series took TV puppetry to new heights and became the launch pad for the science fantasy careers of producers Gerry and Slyvia Anderson.

Now for the first time the secrets of Supercar are revealed in a unique documentary packed with interviews and special features.
