Gort & Klattu 1/6 Scale Resin Model Kit

Just got this kit and found it not up the standards I've come to expect from Monsters In Motion. I realize that they are just the middle man in the process but the overall quality of the kit is, at best, average considering the price. The figures are HUGE with Gort coming at 16 inches tall and Klatuu a tad under 12 inches. The castings need a lot of prep work (the ad on MIM says as much) both in fitting and filling surface defects. Expect to spend 6 or more hours in this endeavor if you want to end up with a nice looking display. I was also surprised to find that the kit has no base. Not a big issue but a little irritating considering the price. The upside is that the Gort head is so big it is fairly easy to install some light effects (which I intend to do).
