Lost In Space Chariot 1/24 Custom Photoetch and Decal Set

This all-new photoetch and decal set adds stunning new realism to Moebius Models' already fantastic kit.

As you'd expect from ParaGrafix, the main control consoles are accurate down to the button ... and include decals to make painting them a breeze. We've also included the subtle details that will help bring this kit to life:

• Through holes in the control consoles, suitable for lighting (electronics not included)
• Redesigned front for the scanner ... Including aluminum tubing
• Cargo deck with integrated "L-brackets" to add in assembly
• Mounting plates for the top mounted dish antenna, lights, and solar battery
• Girders for the dish antenna
• Mounting brackets for the side ladders
• Inside and outside door handles
• Radiator grills

In addition, the instructions include many "uber-detailing" suggestions for creating additional details ... including simple plans for creating a new, accurately shaped dish antenna. (Of course we've included an alternate set of girders to fit the rebuilt dish.)

What is Photoetch?

Photoetched parts are thick metal foils with portions eaten away by acid. A light-sensitive emulsion is covered with photographic negative and any unexposed areas of the emulsion are washed away. These areas can be eaten away by the acid. By properly designing the artwork, extremely detailed parts can be made.

Typically photoetch is used for cockpit detailing and other fine detail that is generally to small for injection or resin molding.

It ia also ideal for use as a light block in small or tight areas of a model that will be lit such as a grid or other area that would be difficult to mask effectively.

Also great for raised lettering and detail.
