70th Anniversary of the landmark 1953 sci-fi thriller THE WAR OF THE WORLDS with an expanded and remastered CD re-issue of renowned composer Leith Stevens’ (DESTINATION MOON, TV’s VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, LAND OF THE GIANTS) original THE WAR OF THE WORLDS motion picture score. This limited edition release also includes the composer’s score to the 1951 feature film WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE. Both films were produced by legendary fantasy film producer Geroge Pal.

Leith Stevens’ powerful and notable orchestral scores for both big-screen spectacles were incredibly ground-breaking and influential - among the first to define the music sound of big-budget, color science fiction feature films. Now these important works sound better than ever before, as technological advancements made it possible for re-issue co-producer Chris Malone to revisit to the original acetate transfers and improve the sonic quality of the cues, as well as expanding the presentation with previously unreleased Bonus Tracks from both scores that were deemed unusable in the past.

Produced by Dan Goldwasser and Chris Malone, and restored and mastered by Malone, this limited edition CD release of 1000 units includes exclusive, in-depth liner notes by writer John Takis and Goldwasser’s sharp art direction features an out-of-this world reversible cover!
